Hi,

when you display mangas on a wide screen, if you enable 2 pages mode and you hid the AMR toolbar, you won't have any indication of the reading direction... left to right or right to left?
It depends of what you have set by default, but also if you have already changed the reading direction for that manga...
Sometime, you remember it not and must unhide the AMR toolbar to see the icon indicating the reading direction.

Could you simply change the color of the AMR icon (when the AMR toolbar is hid and the reading direction is is not the default one)?

For example:
a red AMR icon for the reading mode right to left
a blue AMR icon for the reading mode left to right

What do you think of that idea?

Regards.

Don't you just have one default setting that you use? Like I always use right to left in two page mode... I think it's a little excessive to say that you don't remember which mode you're using. Do you really switch between them that often? Is there Amy reason to constantly switch between them?

That's not the problem.

I have a lot of mangas I read.

A lot are from japan (so right to left reading direction) but some are manwha from korea or fansubbed from french version (so left to right).

A few are not updated really often, so I don't remember the reading direction when I start reading them...

I don't often switch direction on them, I set it once for all, but I'd like an easy indication to know how the manga I'm currently reading was set.

Am I making myself more clear? Do you see what I mean now?

Yeah, I definitely see what you mean now. But I feel like that's something that should go into the header bar, by the title. I don't think that's necessarily something that should be limited only to people who use the floating toolbar.

Thanks :-)

If the AMR toolbar is displayed, there is already a button that acts also as an indicator.
The third button from the right is used to switch for the particular manga displayed between no double page mode, left to right and right to left.
This button has a little red arrow on it that changes to indicate the reading direction.

But when the AMR toolbar is hid, you won't see it, thus my proposition to change the AMR logo color to reflect the reading direction in that case.

ahh, I see what you mean, but doesnt that display page mode it is, not which way the manga direction is?

Honestly, I think we should work on fixing the toolbar itself. It should Auto-hide itself after a bit, and then when you move your mouse around, go into the transparent mode. Then when you put your mouse over the bar, it should go fully visible (this last part is the current functionality). Then once the mouse is once again off the toolbar and not moving for a while, it auto-hides again into the corner.

I don't ask AMR to "know" by itself the manga direction.
I can set it my self, and I just want something to remind me of the choice I made when I open that manga again.

I also prefer the way the toolbar actually works. I like it to be hid all the time, and when I need it, I can click on the icon to display it.

When I open a manga and the toolbar is not hidden, the first thing I do is hid it... I don't want to wait for it to hid itself, in my opinion, it should never be displayed unless you ask for it.

Well, I agree with Someone516... I think the auto hide feature could solve your problem... and will be more accurate than a color change (I think it cill be difficult to understand for other users... and I don't want to change the logo's color.... :))
I think a auto show feature should be better :
- When toolbar is hidden (after clicking on the hide button) it will auto show for 2 seconds when the mouse move in the top of the page...

Is it OK for every one ??

Hi,

I didn't see Polo's reply, sorry.

But I just saw the new release and tested the new auto hide feature.

That works nice and will do the trick!

Thank you very much!
Regards.
