All Mangas Reader

This is just an idea I had so let me see if I can explain it properly. Some (If not all) scanlation groups offer the option to download entire chapters in zip folders which you can then open with something like WinRar and read or whatever. But trying to read manga on your computer like that kinda sucks which is why I always just use AMR. But if the internet connection is ever down, there is some manga chapter I wan't to make sure I will always have, or there is one or two manga on a site that I can't seem to really find elsewhere but I don't want to bother AMR staff with yet another new site just for that then being able to read off line using downloaded manga would be nice. It doesn't have to be able to sync up with the manga list properly but just being able to read manga offline the way AMR allows me to would be a great feature. One way I can think of to (maybe) make it work would be to have a command where you have AMR access a folder on the computer instead of accessing a site.

Something like this is probably easier said than done so if you want to turn down the feature that is fine. If I wasn't being clear please let me know and I will try to clarify.

Unfortunately saving images takes up a lot of space, and just saving the text that links to that space is hard enough.
Honestly, I doubt such a functionality will come around, since at the moment we're just trying to focus on fixing all the bugs, and this will call for a completely different coding base.
But thanks for the suggestion, it is a wonderful idea, I know I'd like offline access to some manga =/ but it's just not practical atm.

However, maybe we could put in like a "Download all images" button in the AMR context menu? Then you could download the chapters you wanted, and js view them normally on a computer?

I tried this. You will have a hell of a problem when mirrors use different domains to host the images (as Mangafox do), because XHR is normally denied between domains. I tried JSONP too, and then the download worked, but the images got corrupted. If there's a way to avoid corrupting images loaded by JSONP it would be possible to download them in script and saving them or manipulating them (I tried to make a ZIP out of the images and sucked all memory and CPU of my feeble notebook). Canvas let you add images from wherever, but they don't let you export if the image came from a different domain, so it's not a option too.

I preffer using the "Save as..." fuction, since it is build in and keep the whole chapter style of AMR.
