It would really be great if we could get each manga site to implement a standard "Manga Interface", but something as farfetched as that would never happen unless said sites could reliably continue to serve ads.
I'd asked once before (perhaps on Twitter), but I'd really be happy if the "block ads" feature of AMR were removed, as I'd think that this is the most off-putting thing about the extension for manga sites. Perhaps we could also look into serving ads for every couple of pages (say 5) in continuous mode.
I'm personally not too bothered about ads or anything, I use AMR to keep track of what I'm reading. Having everything on one page is really nice, but that's mostly because few sites support prefetching.
Edit: Also, about Batoto hiding ads despite the option, that may have been my doing. I'm not sure how much has been changed with the Batoto module since I wrote the original, but my version was pretty hacky — I just wanted to get tracking working asap.

tl;dr: Don't make manga sites your enemy. Remove ad block option, serve ads every few pages. Tell manga sites of this change and they'll probably be happy to work with you.
