All Mangas Reader

I'm using AMR 1.3.12. I found that when I open the browser overnight it crashes almost the time. I open the task manager and found that AMR thread consumes a lot of memory. It was not that before this version.

I have 17 mangas in the list and notice that the sharingan is always spinning.

What are your AMR configurations? Moreover, what are your options for "Update chapters list every" and "Update list of manga for each web site every"? Do you activated the save bandwidth option? How much mangas do you have in AMR? How much mirrors do you have activated? Do you have activated synchronization?

As stated, the first thing you need to do is check which mirrors you have enabled, then deactivate all unused ones. That will reduce memory consumption a lot.

what Kojiro and mexicano21 said is accurate, also try disabling the "Save bandwidth while loading chapter list (this options waits for one manga to be updated before updating the next one)" option in amr settings.

I'm pretty sure that it occurs to some particular mirrors.

As I try I have one mirror from unixmanga, for only one title actually, after waiting for refreshing, the sharingan doesn't stop spinning. And if you wait over a night, leave the browser turns on, AMR extension's memory leaks.

Things that make some mirrors weight more on AMR than others:

- Mirrors that have a slow or heavy website.
- Mirrors that have its list of mangas kept in memory by AMR and have a huge lot of mangas (the worse I known is CityManga).

The best anyone can do is deactivate all the mirrors one can. With more mirrors supported by each new version of AMR there's really no helping it.

My AMR doesn't recognize CityManga actually.

It would be nice if AMR stop crawling some mirrors after some timeout. I guess that it might not be problematic when the mirror has a large list since AMR tries to crawl for a chapter list. One possible is unixmanga has chapter lists separating for one manga. AMR might try to crawl all the chapter list and end up in a infinite loop. (All of this is my guess, I didn't look into the code.)

Hmm, yeah, appears CityManga changed its layout and AMR didn't like it.

Will try to fix CityManga in the next release then...

polo, could you please check unixmanga as well? I'm pretty sure that the mirror make the AMR's sharingan non-stop spinning when it tries to refresh. (left the browser turned on for 30 minutes.)
