All Mangas Reader

I've searched for memory usage topics, but I couldn't find one. So here is my story, I was looking at the chrome extensions memory usage and found out that All Mangas reader consumes a LOT of memory, even when is idle.

Developers, please keep an eye on the memory consumption
The extension consumes about 80000 Kb when is idle , about 97000 Kb when I open the extension page and about 124000 Kb when checking for new chapters.
(The adblock consumes a maximum of 50000Kb and has to parse every page I open in every tab)

I have about 26 mangas in average with 2 web sites each. This means when it has to check for new chapters it runs through 52 web sites, this justifies the 124000 Kb of memory consumption when checking for new updates (I'm ok with that ).

But what about the 80000Kb when idle

I think the consumption can be lowered by tweaking the JavaScript and the data structure used. Because in my understanding, when the extension is idle (aka doing nothing) it should only keep in memory some kind of scheduler that wakes from time to time and accesses some kind of database so it can check for new chapters.

There is a developing version on GitHub, and is what I'm using right now. But before testing it, backup all your data, since the thing even being usable, can do unexpected things. Also report bugs against it (if you find any) in github too. https://github.com/AllMangasReader-dev/AMR

BTW, I have 181 mangas on about 30 sites, and is private bytes right now are 69,324kB (1024 bytes) and 102kB-ish after looking for new chapters. We think that since we aren't using prototype, the code was mostly ported under a new set of rules, the extension feels faster than before (well, actually we did things to make it faster but it is unexpectedly faster). There is a README about how to install the extension, and please report your finding here if everything is a OK, or report bugs you find in github.
