I have Chromium 23.0.1271.22 on Gentoo, 64-bit. V8 version 3.13.7.2.
I've removed ~/.config/chromium and ~/.cache/chromium completely, then launched Chromium, installed AMR and it crashed immediately. Also crashes if I relaunch the extension or restart the browser.
If after a few relaunches it doesn't crash, it's still not working (I click the sharingan, a popup area appears and nothing responds in that area.

Wow, that's incredibly specific, but I honestly have no idea how to help you. Does chrome work fine with AMR disabled? Have you updated all your website implementation scripts? Go through the FAQ and try the stuff there maybe?

I think it is related to this bug:

If I run Chromium with --disable-seccomp-filter-sandbox such issues disappear. This bug caused a lot of other problems, actually.
